How to Use Neville Goddard’s Powerful Visualisation Technique

If you are an advocate of the Law of Attraction, it is highly likely that you know who Neville Goddard is.

Hailed as a cosmic philosopher, he was considered as the most charismatic and intellectually substantive teachers of the last century.

With his imaginal act technique, Neville is known to have perfected the visualization process.

If anything, his technique is considered a game changer. If you are curious about Neville’s visualisation technique and would like to know how you can make it work for you, this article is exactly what you are looking for.

Neville Goddard’s Powerful Visualization Technique

Create an Imaginal Scene

Start the visualization process by creating a short and detailed scene of whatever it is that you want to manifest.

Do you want to be financially free? Do you want to travel more? Find the love of your life? Enjoy perfect health?

Only you know what your deepest desires are so ask yourself what it is that you truly want.

Write Down Your Happy Ending

Once you have narrowed down what exactly it is that you want to manifest in your world, write it down.

It does not have to be long. The idea is to make it as vivid as you possibly can. Use all your senses and imagine the end.

ONLY the end. The end is what it’s going to be like after you have achieved your desire.

For instance, let’s say you want to be married to someone.

The tendency for most is to imagine getting a text message from that person or going on a date with them.

However, that’s not the end. That’s the middle.

Instead, the right way to do it would be to imagine a short scene where you can see yourself wearing a wedding ring and hearing that person tell you how much they love being married to you.

Keep in mind that the goal is to end up with the person, not just date them.

Or if your goal is to become healthier and fitter, imagine a scene where you are having coffee with your friend and you hear them compliment you on how fit and healthy you have become.

You can also tell them about the marathon you just did the week prior.

Enter a Meditative State

Once you have figured out the short scene you want to visualise, you need to get into what Neville referred to as “a state akin to sleep.”

In other words, you need to shut out the external world and get in a meditative state.

Be unattached to any memories, noises, physical sensations, and emotions—anything that distracts you.

Keep in mind that you need to connect to your inner world, to your awareness, if you want to bring your desires to life.

The easiest method to enter into this state is while lying down before falling asleep.

If you have mastered focusing and entering into a meditative state, then all the better.

Imagine Your Desire in First Person

Once you get in the meditative state, use your imagination and bring yourself into the scene you want to happen in first person.

This step is key. If you visualise yourself in third person (as if watching a movie), there is no awareness.

You should not be witnessing the scene like a bystander. You need to feel as if it is actually happening.

The key is to look through your own eyes and have an active role in the scene you are imagining.

To manifest the desire, there must be awareness of the desire first hand. That’s the only way to get crystal clear about what you want to manifest in life.

Feel It With All Your Senses

Use all your senses to make your scene as real as possible.

Where are you? What are you doing? What time of the day is it? What do you smell?

Ideally, you need to use all five of your senses to create your visualisation.

It might take a few minutes to set up your scene and get all the details right.

However, once you have settled into the scene, get into it with all that you have.

Impress Your Subconscious Mind

To plant the seed of desire in your subconscious mind, you need to replay the scene in a loop.

As soon as you reach the end of your short scene, start over from the very beginning.

Repeat the process until it comes to you naturally, almost like a memory.

If you do it as many times, it will become impressed upon your subconscious.

The idea is to evoke the overwhelming emotion of happiness like the scene you imagined is already your reality.

That when you know you have successfully planted the seed. You might need to do the visualisation for a few days, a week, or month.

However, it is important that you do not obsess about it.

Just do the exercise and go about your day.

Let It Go and Allow the Seed to Grow

This is one of the most important steps of the entire process. You don’t need to imagine the scene all day every day.

You also won’t have to do it until it happens. Just plant the seed and you are good.

If you want to revisit the scene every now and then, feel free to do so.

However, obsessing about it would be similar to planting the seed and digging it often to see why it has not grown yet.

Here’s one thing you should remember: when you live from the end, as though your desire has already materialised, you are giving the universe permission to make it happen.

Over to You

Back when you were young, you used your imagination without any limits. It just came naturally to you. You still have that power.

You just have not used it often enough anymore.

So use your imagination and don’t let anything limit you. That’s how you create your reality.
