Tangible Ways to Practice Self-Love

While the concept of self-love has become popular over the years, it looks different for everyone.

Undeniably, we all have different ways of loving ourselves.

If you would love and take care of yourself more, below are tangible ways you can go about it.

Start practicing them today and they will soon be a part of your life before you know it:

Create a self-love ritual.

Unplug from social media for a few hours, turn off the TV, and focus on doing self-care practice with intention.

For instance, you can put on lotion and focus on nothing else but moisturising your hands, body, and even feet.

You can even take the practice to the next level by saying thank you to your body for helping you out and helping you do all the things you want to do.

The idea is to acknowledge what your body has done for you and show yourself some much-needed gratitude.

Be a part of a community.

As much as you would like to do everything on your own, there is no denying the help and support of others can go a long way.

The support provided from others can also help you stay on track and motivated.

Also, some research has proven that positive energy and happiness is contagious

If anything, it can surely help if you have a group of loving people that rallies around you consistently.

Create a “What’s Working for Me” list.

If you want to truly love yourself, you have to start with self-acceptance.

If you are having a hard time accepting yourself, creating a “What’s Working for Me” list would be a good place to start.

Once you are able to see for yourself all the things that are going for you and all the things that you are doing right, loving and accepting yourself becomes a lot easier.

Acknowledge that your body is a loving vessel.

Treating your body as a loving vessel can go a long way towards boosting your self-love and self-esteem.

Start by becoming intentional about what you put into your body.

Focus not only on what looks good but what feels good.

Clean out your clutter.

This might not be common knowledge but decluttering  is more therapeutic than you think.

Decluttering can be done in a lot of ways.

Some of the most effective ways to declutter would be to let go of jewelry, clothes, and other items that remind you of a bad time in your life.

Getting rid of them can also help you move forward with positivity and ease.

Explore your spirituality.

For many, faith is considered one of the most solid foundations of self-love.

Regardless if you are religious or not, having faith can open up your soul to the world of awesome possibilities.

Faith can also strengthen your intuition and help you make decisions that are based on your gut feeling.

Also, when you explore your spirituality, you can also learn new things about yourself and those feelings, thoughts, and emotions can help guide you to the right path.

Over to You

There is no shortage of tangible ways you can practice self-love. The idea is to start with something that resonates with you. The above tips should be a great place for you to start.
