If you are a Law of Attraction practitioner, it’s safe to assume you have heard about visualization and its significance in the manifestation of your desires.
If you are new to the practice, it is likely that you don’t know how to go about the visualisation part and unsure how you can make it work for you.
To help you out, let’s tackle the basics of visualisation and how you can make it work for you.
Creating Versus Visualising
One of the basic concepts behind visualisation is this: for you to bring your desires to life, you need to know how to vividly picture that which you desire and as detailed as possible.
Contrary to popular belief, it is not through visualisation that you are able to manifest your desires.
Rather, it is through visualisation that you can effectively elevate your frequency so you can align with the energy that will bring your desires to life.
While visualisation will not create that which you desire, the crucial role it plays in the manifestation process cannot be overlooked.
The Origin of Visualisation
Everyone was born in this world with an innate ability to visualise.
Remember that time when you were a kid when you played pretend?
When you played pretend, ordinary sticks became magic wands and dolls and stuffed toys can talk.
If you have experienced playing pretend, you can attest the imaginary world you moved in was just as real to you as everything else.
Unfortunately, as you got older, you were discouraged to visualise less.
With responsibilities left and right, you were most likely told to be realistic.
In other words, you were asked to “grow up.”
The good news? While your ability to visualise has become dormant or has been minimised, it is never lost.
The Purpose of Visualisation
When you visualise, you polish the mental conception of that reality you want to manifest.
In other words, you have this opportunity to determine and remove any conflicting vibrations that will send the wrong signals to the universe.
Case in point: If you visualise finding the perfect lover, you might start by imagining that you are sharing a home with that person.
However, somewhere in your visualisation, you might imagine the two of you having an argument over something.
When a similar thing happens, your visualisation has gone down a negative path.
It is important to remember that those things can happen so don’t despair.
It is just your brain telling you that you still have beliefs that do not serve you.
In a similar scenario, you might have an underlying negative belief that all relationships eventually end in misery or heartbreak.
It is also possible that you believe you do not deserve love or to be happy.
If the underlying negative beliefs are not addressed accordingly, the universe won’t be able to deliver your manifestations as fast.
Fortunately, once you are able to identify those limiting beliefs and address them, it will only be a matter of time until you bring your desires to life.
How to Properly Visualise
If you want to visualise better, below are some of the techniques that can help:
- Involve all your sense in the visualisation process. Go beyond what you can see. Ask yourself what you can taste, smell, hear, and feel.
- If you’re just starting out, using a vision board can help you visualise more easily.
- Find a song that embodies the feeling you will experience once your desires have manifested. Use the song to work on your manifestation and listen to it while you’re diving, walking, exercising, or standing in line.
- Finally, be easy about it and have fun! Trust the process and know you have the power to manifest whatever it is that you desire and it will only be a matter of time until you bring it into your life.
